Real Madrid vs. Atléti: Final score 3-0, Cristiano Ronaldo scores another Champions League hat trick

Final score: Real Madrid 3-0 Atlético Madrid. The score does the game justice too, it wasn't particularly close. Cristiano Ronaldo scored yet another hat trick, and Los Merengues are now all but in the final.

86' - GOAL! Real Madrid 3-0 Atlético Madrid. What a performance by Cristiano Ronaldo. He completes his second consecutive Champions League hat trick. Anyone still think he's old and washed up?

Cristiano only had 2 goals in the group stage, but he's really turned it on lately

Here's Cristiano Ronaldo's 2nd goal:

77' - Even though he got involved in that last goal, Karim Benzema had a frustrating night, and he's off for Lucas Vazquez.

73' - GOAL! Real Madrid 2-0 Atlético Madrid. What a goal by Cristiano Ronaldo. Marcelo finds Benzema on the edge of the box and he lays off for Ronaldo. It takes a deflection, but drops kindly for Ronaldo, who finishes from 15 yards.

67' - And Isco comes off as expected. Youngster Marco Asensio, who's had some electric performances recently, comes on to a big ovation. Atléti has also made a change, taking Yannick Ferreira Carrasco off for Angel Correa.

64' - Isco, who is on a yellow, makes a hard challenge on Koke. Zinedine Zidane should think about taking him off.

57' - 2 changes for Atléti. Fernando Torres and Nico Gaitan enter for Kevin Gameiro and Saul.

51' - Getting chippy. Saul is booked for a cynical challenge on Nacho.

48' - Yellow card to Isco. He accidentally stomped on Lucas, but it was still a stomp.

46' - We're back for the second half, and Nacho has replaced Dani Carvajal at right back for Real Madrid.

Halftime: Real Madrid 1-0 Atlético Madrid. Very good half for the home team. We'll see if Dani Carvajal can play the second half or if he has to come off.

45' - Dani Carvajal is down, and if he has to come out that would be a huge blow to Real Madrid.

Casemiro's looked better

41' - Casemiro and Godin challenge for a header, and Casemiro gets the worst of it. He gets elbowed in the face and has a bloody mouth.

35' - Atléti's counter just isn't working, and it's because Real Madrid is packing the area they want to play through.

29' - Benzema just misses what would have been one of the best goals of his career. He connects with a bicycle kick off a cross by Ronaldo and his shot is just inches wide.

24' - Oblak bats away a cross that falls to Modric, who takes a rip from long range, but his shot is just wide.

22' - Atléti coming into the game after a bad start. Their first corner comes to nothing, but they'll be hoping that winning it is a sign of things to come.

Here's Cristiano Ronaldo's goal:

17' - Keylor Navas matches his counterpart on the other end with a big save of his own. He denies Kevin Gameiro an equalizer and what would have been a vital away goal.

16' - Huge save by Oblak! He keeps Atléti in the match with a difficult save down low on a header by Raphael Varane.

10' - GOAL! Real Madrid 1-0 Atlético Madrid. Cristiano Ronaldo gives Los Merengues the lead with a header. Atléti couldn't relieve the pressure after a corner kick and Ronaldo gets on the end of a second ball in by Casemiro.

7' - Real Madrid nearly scores! Dani Carvajal gets forward and shoots at Jan Oblak, who can't handle. The rebound falls to Karim Benzema, but his shot is blocked out for a corner.

4' - The first shot of the game is a long-range effort from Cristiano Ronaldo, and he puts it into outer space

1' - Kickoff!

Madrid's tifo depicts their two Champions League final wins over Atléti. The Rojiblancos fans weren't happy about UEFA approving it.

The number of fans that showed up just to watch the bus drive to the stadium is stunning
