Colorado, 17-Colorado State, 3
And that'll do it. Colorado State's last gasp fails when Nick Stevens is intercepted in the end zone. This one's gonna end, you guessed it, 17-3 once the kneeling's over.
Colorado State had a promising gain.... until they didn't. Colorado ball after the fumble is recovered. The Buffs don't really need to do much here, just run out the clock and take it home.
Colorado was driving and looking good! Then Steven Montez took a sack that took them out of striking range and missed a field goal. The 17-3 Colorado leads persists.
Shoutout Colorado for going for some points, but it becomes another arm-punt. The interception gives Colorado State the ball back. Maybe one day someone else'll score here.
END OF THE THIRD. You're never gonna guess our score: Colorado, 17-Colorado State, 3
Colorado State fans aren't exactly thrilled with the reffing tonight....
I am so confused.
This game's been 17-3 (Colorado leading) for like a month and a half. 7:00 left in the 3rd.
Aaaaaaaaaaaand armpunt interception for the Rams.
Then it happened again! Twice in like three plays!
Touchdown Colorado State! Called back for a penalty!
Today I learned that Ralphie runs out to the start BOTH halfs.
First half box score for those so inclined to view such things.
Was Colorado QB Steven Montez ready? I think yes. Sans former DC Jim Leavitt, could Colorado's defense still fly around? Yup.
Phillip Lindsay has the Colorado run game
The drive had so much promise, so much optimism. Colorado's defensive front erased all hopes of that. HALFTIME: Colorado, 17-Colorado State, 3
Nick Stevens might just be growing into the game at QB. Couple nice throws on this two-minute drill. 2:00 left in the first half. Rams have to keep him upright though, Buffs are stout on the DL.
Big interception by Colorado State's Devin Ross. He just yanked the ball from the Colorado receiver's hands lol
A moment to speak about Colorado RB Phillip Lindsay's hair please. He's a banger of a back with nearly 100 yards already, but check out what's under the helmet.
Colorado, 17-Colorado State, 0 -- 2Q 13:36
WOAH. Absolute BOMB of a TD from Montez to Shay Fields. My man had a year to throw and did the schoolyard point move to get his man open.
At QB, Steven Montez has looked sharp for Colorado. Nick Stephens, however, not so much for Colorado State.
The end of 1, and the Buffs are still up 10-0.
A good thing apparently cannot last forever. Buffs drive stalls, but a 39-yard field goal is good. Colorado, 10-Colorado State, 0 -- 1Q 1:38
Aaaaaaand he breaks off another down inside the Rams' 30-yard line.
RB Phillip Lindsay converts a pretty big third down and the Buffs are cooking, across the 50. This dude can go.
Peep the score right here.
Colorado, 7-Colorado State, 0 -- 1Q 7:11
TOUCHDOWN COLORADO. Phillip Lindsay explodes for 45-yard run behind a pulling guard. That's what I like to see.
Rams driving now as we cross the 9:00 threshold remaining in the first quarter, but an offensive pass interference kills the series.
It begins with a whimper, not a bang. 3-and-out for CU as well.
Post Sefo Liufau era begins in Boulder (yes I know the game's in Denver, relax). The Steven Montez era is here at QB for the Buffs.
That was, err, a series of offensive plays that Colorado State ran. There were three of them. They are now punting. It's this cogent analysis that'll be here all night, folks.
