Here's a recap of the game. That'll do it for us, more Champions League action on Wednesday as well. https://www.sbnation.com/soccer/2017/9/12/16296908/barcelona-vs-juventus-final-score-report-2017-uefa-champions-league-results

FINAL SCORE: Barcelona 3-0 Juventus. What a performance by Messi. Juve really didn't play that poorly, but he was unstoppable.

87' - With the game as good as over, Juventus decides to give a short run-out to 17-year-old Fabrizio Caligara.

83' - Andres Iniesta comes off for Andre Gomes. This was the best game Iniesta's had against a top opponent in quite some time.

77' - Rakitic gets a standing ovation as he comes off and is replaced by Paulinho.

Here's Messi's 2nd, it's spectacular

75' - Juventus still playing hard and trying to score on the counter, but they're not pressing as hard as they were before the third goal. It was a deflating one.

69' - GOAL! Barcelona 3-0 Juventus. A second for Lionel Messi! This is the best player ever at the absolute top of his game. He glides past Alex Sandro and Benatia with ease and doesn't give Buffon a chance as he shoots into the corner from 15 yards.

61' - A Messi free kick towards the corner is saved by Buffon. Both club icons have been excellent today, despite Buffon conceding twice.

56' - GOAL! Barcelona 2-0 Juventus. Messi gets into the box and squares to the top of the six-yard box, but has his pass cleared away. Unfortunately for Juve, the clearance only goes as far as the penalty spot, where Ivan Rakitic was waiting to finish off the move.

54' - Lionel Messi gets a yellow card for mock-waving a card at the referee. Barcelona's players are furious despite every player knowing that this is a yellow card offense.

52' - Messi will have no idea how he didn't score. Messi hits the post, it ricochets off Buffon's back, and just barely goes wide instead of into the back of the net.

48' - Big chance for Dybala, but he misses. An Alex Sandro cross deflects to him 15 yards out, but he shoots over the crossbar.

46' - Back for the second half.

What a combination between Messi and Suarez

HALFTIME - Barcelona 1-0 Juventus. The Bianconeri did some great work on the counter-attack and finished the half with six shots to Barca's four, but none of theirs was as well placed as Messi's. De Sciglio's injury really didn't help matters -- he was great before he got hurt in the 33rd minute, but the Juve defense looked shaky from then on.

45' - GOAL! Barcelona 1-0 Juventus. Lionel Messi sends his team into the break on top! He passes to Suarez at the top of the box, Suarez plays a one-touch return ball and Messi takes a rip from 18 yards. His perfectly placed shot beats Gigi Buffon.

41' - De Sciglio is down again, and this time he's not going to play on. Stefano Sturaro, who is actually a central midfielder, comes on to play right back.

38' - Nearly a goal for Barca! De Sciglio makes a risky pass across his own goal that gets intercepted by Dembele, but his shot is blocked by Benatia.

33' - Juventus right back Mattia De Sciglio appears to have picked up a muscle injury, but he's trying to play on.

28' - First chance in a while, Higuain forces a save, though his effort wasn't very powerful. Juve look threatening on the break though.

19' - Barcelona starting to settle in and establish possession. That probably won't bother Juventus, who are great on the counter attack, but they have to avoid bad fouls like the one Blaise Matuidi just committed on Andres Iniesta from 20 yards out. Thankfully for the Bianconeri, Buffon saves Suarez's follow-up after Messi's free kick hits the wall.

12' - Ter Stegen has been called into action a few times already. He's made a save from Dybala, and then a minute later another good one on Pjanic. Juve's efforts are coming from the edge of the box, though, no clear-cut chances quite yet.

Lionel, Ousmane, Luis. Perfect.

6' - Mattia De Sciglio just misses with a rocket from 25 yards. It actually looks like Ter Stegen might have gotten a finger to it, but the referee gives a goal kick.

3' - Not a ton of early action, but two early observations: Juve is playing through Dybala and Dembele is extremely fast.

1' - Kickoff!

The Camp Nou is still very much not full. Some fans still really upset with the Barcelona board and not bothering?

Today's a huge day for Juve midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur. Thanks to a slew of injuries in the Bianconeri midfield, the 20-year-old Uruguayan makes his Champions League debut in only his third match since moving from Boca Juniors. On the Barca side, all eyes will be on record signing Ousmane Dembele, who is making his first start for the Blaugrana.

Barcelona lineup (4-3-3): Ter Stegen; Alba, Umtiti, Pique, Semedo; Busquets, Rakitic, Iniesta; Dembele, Suarez, Messi

Juventus lineup (4-3-3): Buffon; Alex Sandro, Benatia, Barzagli, De Sciglio; Matuidi, Bentancur, Pjanic; Dybala, Higuain, Douglas Costa
